Rainier Rock: “How long have you been playing together and how did you get started?”
Megmarr: “We have been writing and recording together since December 2025. Our band formed after Meghan created a Craigslist post seeking fellow musicians looking to do something with music! Dave sent a reply back explaining that he and Steven were longtime friends and musicians who were also looking for someone who wanted to make music. We all met up and decided to do this thing!”
Rainier Rock: “What is the story behind your band’s name?”
Megmarr: “Dave came up with the name! It’s a mix of Meghan’s first and last name (Meghan Marcroft). We added another “R” at the end so we wouldn’t be confused with any similar names, plus it looks cool in text and is an abstract, cool sounding word! “MEGMARR” was born!”
Rainier Rock: “What have been some of your biggest inspirations in your music?”
Megmarr: “Alice in Chains, Black Sabbath, Dio, Elvis, Randy Rhoads, Bonnie Raitt, the list goes on!”
Rainier Rock: “If you could collaborate with any artist who would it be and why?”
Megmarr: “Dio! What an incredible talent and legend with his melodies and distinct sound!”
Rainier Rock: “Who in your band is most likely to survive a zombie apocalypse and why?”
Megmarr: “Dave! He is strapped to the bejeezus with weaponry so he will take care of the zombies and any other threats!”
Rainier Rock: “Is there anything else people should know about you?”
Megmarr: “We are currently a three piece band! Meghan sings and writes the lyrics/vocal melodies. Dave plays and records each rhythm guitar track, lead guitar track, and bass guitar track. Steven sequences the drums, runs the recording software, edits, mixes, puts everything together and finalizes the music. we are looking for another guitar player, a bass player, and a drummer so we can set up live shows! Playing live as a complete band is what we want to do, so if anyone in the Moses Lake, WA and surrounding areas would be interested in playing with us, please get a hold of us!
