Rainier Rock: “How long have you been playing together and how did you get started?”
Mr. Huh?: “Lunar Pilots has been a personal project of mine since I started making music. Around 2019, if I remember correctly. It’s currently at its second iteration, with a completely new lineup, besides, BUSKR. who’s been here since the beginning.”

Rainier Rock: “What is the story behind your band’s name?”
Mr. Huh?: “It’s funny when I bring up my band’s name to someone I personally know.  A lot of my friends are VERY aware that I’m mainly inspired by the band Twenty One Pilots. However, the name came from a completely different place.  When I was  making music for more of a live-band setting, I knew I needed a name for it.  Now, Astronauts are space-themed, so that might work… but there’s already an astronauts band on streaming services! So, I ended up writing down a bunch of different ways to say Astronaut, without it being under the shadow of any other bands, Lunar Pilots just kind of stuck, and I think it’s gonna stay for a while.”

Rainier Rock: “What is your favorite song of yours?”
Mr. Huh?: “I always fall the most in love with tracks that I, and the rest of the group are working on. We just about finished the track “Stand Up Out There” this last weekend, and the melodies and leads throughout give off so many cool vibes! We’re excited to share this one with everyone. As in current releases, Summer’s Past is definitely the best opening single you could have. It’s punchy, upfront, and it lets you scream it out with the rest of us.”

Rainier Rock: “Is there anything else you’d like people to know about you guys?”
Mr. Huh?: “Our first album, “Days Gone By – Part One”, is coming out later this year, will kick off the storyline that both Lunar Pilots and Ashes to Phoenix plan to tell. We’re really excited for this one.”
