Renton post office renamed in Jimi Hendrix’s honor

A bill was passed unanimously last week to rename the Renton Highlands Post Office in honor of Seattle musician Jimi Hendrix.

The post office will officially be renamed the “James Marshall “Jimi” Hendrix Post Office.”

The post office sits just a few blocks away from Hendrix’s burial site at Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton.
